Corn Moon

Have you gotten a chance to go outside and get a good look at the moon tonight? She's beautiful and in my area, surrounded by incredibly wispy clouds that show blues and greens across her face. You should take a moment to look out your window or step outside, let the first nips of Autumn enfold you as you gaze sky ward.

Taken tonight at 10:49PM Est - I couldn't get the clouds without la luna turning into a white blob...

Tonight is the night of the corn moon. The harvest season is nearing it's end, signifying that the fields of corn are ripe for their final harvesting. Take advantage of this moon's energy to rid yourself of all manner of clutter - physical, mental, spiritual - let go of old hurts and begin to mend your wounds. A cleansing or healing ritual would be perfect for tonight.

Hope you all have a beautiful and blessed night!

  1. Frogs and Pickles! I'd been thinking this whole time we were doing the Harvest Moon, and read this morning on another blog that Mabon is closer to the full Moon in October, so no.

You'd think I would have known that!

I have to get a little chuckle out of it signifying the end of the harvest season..... they've just replanted all of the fields here with more Summer crops!!

  5. Beautiful photo! I was out last night attempting a photo myself. I was turning and pushing every button, using a tripod, etc. Then I looked to my right, about 6 feet away, and there was a skunk just waddling along. Needless to say I flew back in the house and didn't get a good shot. :)

  6. Beautiful shot. I went out and looked last night for a while. A cleansing ritual seems just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for the reminder.

  7. I would love to, but we are very cloudy, drizzly tonight. I hope it clears up soon. I need to get my stoens and crystals out there for a Full Moon cleanse.
