Play was just a plain FUN prompt! No over thinking or meaning necessary.
I put on the Rusted Root station on my Pandora and just let the colors flow and unfold... all of the paint was applied with my fingers, squirted directly on to the page and smeared around with the edge of a playing card (of which I have literally hundreds) or splattered on with laughing abandon. Then there were scribbles of crayon and pastel. It felt SO GOOD to just let loose, not take anything seriously or deeply and just play with the paint and the paper.
No hidden meanings, no messages, no deep work... just painting like a small child and enjoying the process.
