Come hither to my gypsy home,
where banners fly,
and faeries do roam.
Here time does slow,
and stress does flee,
allowing your dreams to flow fast and free.
We sing our songs by candle's light,
Old tales and new mix,
as our hearts take flight.
Slow your rhythm as best you are able,
the faeries are calling,
come join me now at my gypsy's table.
With a jingle and a ring,
and a bit of a shuffle,
the cards lay ready to sing.
A special message just for you,
They tell of your fortune,
They bring your future in view.
A journey lie ahead,
filled with blessings and bliss,
to see other gypsies,
whose parties you won't want to miss!
The Queen says you must be leaving,
For more fun lie ahead,
But don't let your heart go grieving,
Help yourself to a rose instead!
Thank you so much for visiting my contribution to the Gypsy Dreams blog party hosted by Celia. To visit all our gypsy sisters and friends, click here.
Jingles, jangles and tons of bangles! Sweet (gypsy) dreams, my lovelies!
P.S. I'm not even going to lie. I decorated my dining room to take these photos and taking all the stuff back down so we'd have a place to eat and a gorgeous view of the yard again did make me a bit sad. I'm adding 'Build me a gypsy wagon!' to the hubby's to-do list. ;-)
Beautiful!!! This made me smile!! Everything is magical!! Thank you so much for participating!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful Danni. I would want to keep it up for as long as I could. I am so glad you invited me to your posting for Gypsy Dreams, wouldn't have missed it. Oma Linda

ReplyDeleteDanni, what a wonderful post. I didn't know about the gypsy blog hop, it would have been fun, but I'm so happy I came to visit you today and your lovely Gypsy "Wagon". Just loved it. I was just looking at Gypsy wagons this week for fun and thought it would be a fun project to take on once we have our place in the country.
ReplyDeleteMay you have a beautiful evening.

Gorgeous - I wouldn't want to take it down either! I want to pull out my belly dancing scarf and jingly belt now!
ReplyDeleteLovely imagery, you decorated up so beautifully. I think your hubby could be busy if he went in to gypsy wagon building, we'd all be queueing up for our own gypsy dream wagon :)

What a fun party to have been invited to! Inspiring as usual Danni, thanks so much for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLovely poetry and exactly the kind of evocative, dreamy Gypsy world I knew you'd choose live in! A Gypsy vardo has been on my own to-do list for years now. Right now I have neither time nor space to build it, but one of these days...
ReplyDeleteI think that you did an amazing job. Love all of your images and I think that you should leave it up all year through, and it makes for nice conversations. I call it wondrous.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! I love all your photos so dreamy. Thank you for shring your dreams of gypsys. Come visit me.
ReplyDeleteDanni, I have to say I was looking forward to calling over for a wee catch up but I didn't expect it to be as wonderful as this! Don't get me wrong, I always love your posts but this one was just fantastic! I adore all your photos and it was well worth all the effort of decorating to get them. Oh, and if you're hubby ever does build you that gypsy wagon then I really am going to up sticks and travel the seas to visit you. I've joked before about moving in with you but I mean it this time!
