On the first day of Halloween...

I put up my Halloween village! Only to discover that my witch's windmill has ceased to light up or move after 3 years. It didn't dampen my spirits or the display though, it just seems like there's a big party on the one side of town. ;)

That's my windmill being illuminated by an electric candle just behind the reaper.

...all hail the pumpkin king.

  1. This is just too cool. If I ever let myself start doing a Halloween village we would be in the poor house. I tend to get a little/a lot carried away by the whole spooky ooky thing. I shall post a little something something tomorrow so that I can join in the fun. The Olde Bagg

  2. I love it!!! I've always wanted a Halloween village. Did you make any of the components yourself?

  3. Actually, I haven't crafted a single thing for my village. I started collecting bits and pieces when Joe and I first moved in together, so this is 3 years worth of collecting. Most are the pricey pieces from Lemax, but there are a few light up ceramic houses I picked up at Walgreens mixed in there too.

I'd have a lot more I'm sure (and would be in the poorhouse) but I only allow myself one large piece and one small figure per year. Unless of course I find something on super clearance. ;)

  12. Danni,
The village is so cool!! Thank you for the pics! My Halloween is going to be very subdued this year, and I was a little depressed about it. It's so wonderful to know that I can still enjoy the decorations/celebrations with me new blog friends!
