Each Sunday I stop and count my blessings.
Taking time to honor the things I've been grateful for throughout the week. A quiet, weekly practice of appreciation and positivity. A time to breath and reflect. A small step towards a more simplistic and appreciative outlook. Feel free to join in. <3 align="center" p="">
This Week I am Grateful For:

* Good chats with friends and the husband.
* Empathy.
* Sunny days and Summer showers.
* Getting the last of the flooring bought for our big living room renovation. Now we just have to wait for Joe to get his time off sorted out!
* New flowers in the garden.
* Creative time with friends. Chatting about Desire.
* A patient, steadfast, loving husband. My rock in the storm.
* Acorn's attempts to stall bedtime by giving me tons of kisses. So sweet.
* Making the decision to accept help in all of its forms. I have a referral out, waiting to make the appointment.
* Books that make me nod in agreement, laugh in commiseration, and sob in understanding.
* All the iced coffee.
* Accidental altars.
* The fireflies being back.
aha! I recognize that painting!
ReplyDeletenext topic for Monday night ... accidental altars.
I've been very loose with structure as I've settled into this, allowing conversations to flow as they will. Not wanting to guide it too much but I am wondering ( especially since conversation on my end of the table was quite intense ... and I kept trying to lighten it up) ... I am wondering if I might introduce some topic for conversation. What do you think?
I think it can't hurt to try to introduce some "food for thought" at our meetups to try to keep the conversations from getting too intense and heavy.
DeletePersonally, I may even post something in the group with your communication expectations for our creative round tables. Maybe something like, life is so intense and heavy as it is, so let's make this a space for laughter, creativity, and lighter open-hearted discussion. We won't turn you away if you're hurting, we want you to show up as you are, because we're human too, but let's use this time to let go of the local and national news fodder and just share ourselves and our own stories.
But yes, I'm all about accidental altar talk! I was cleaning mine up because it's waaay overdue (still the altar I made for Pixie's class in February - yikes!) and the random stuff left, where it was left, felt like a breath of fresh clean air. I love it! :)
Fireflies? Really? How pretty!
