From the dewy dawn, pink from the sun's kisses and heralded in by the buzzing of bumbles and calls of many birds,
through the afternoon which lingered heavy and hot as we worked in the garden and lawn, to the twinkling stars dancing in the navy blue sky overhead as we lit our first fire in our home;
Does anyone else see the woman in the fire?
Peaceful, perfect and renewing.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, celebrated the first of May, loved much and laughed even more. Beltane Blessings (a wee bit late) to you.
Your yard looks so gorgeous. I'm a little jealous, and very jealous of your bonfire. I want to at least buy one of the contained fire pits, but haven't yet. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteBlessings.
Beltane blessings to you as well. ^-^
ReplyDeleteI, too, am a wee bit jealous of your fire pit! ^_~
But I'm glad you got it done in time to light for Beltane. Tell me... Did you jump it? I know you were going to practice... =D

ReplyDeleteI see a womans face in the fire but she seems to be in pain. I also see a very calm & serene looking lion face on gazing in the opposite direction..

I've missed you snarky JG.
Belated Betane blessing to you too! Beautiful photos, as ever Danni. And you found a four lead clover - excellent! Also, I don't see the woman in the fire but I do see two faces. In fact I'd say you could look at that photo all day and see more and more things...
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos - and I agree - lots to see in the fire! Sounds like you had a great day with your Sweetheart. Hoping May is a very magical month for you!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos. That bird in flight shot is gorgeous - and a four leaf clover? What could be better than that. So happy you are enjoying your new home. :) Happy May! Theresa

ReplyDeleteThanks, lady! Happy mom's day to you too, as you are mother to all those animals you care for. Nature is lucky to have someone like you around! =D

Hi Danni! I've been gone for a couple of months...just posted on my blog this morning. What beautiful pictures....and I am so very jealous of your bonfire! My spirit is in need of rejuvenation....it's gotten lost somewhere....and I'm not sure how to go about finding it....and waking it up. It is good to be back in blogland and visiting my friends! I have a lot of catching up to do.
ReplyDeletePS....I've always meant to ask you....is the picture of the cottage at the top of your blog...in the header.....is that on your property? Is that real? If so I would love to know more about it!
