Happy St. Patrick's Day

Like a lot of holidays, I don't treat St. Patrick's day as a religious holiday nor do I celebrate it as the day Saint Patrick drove the 'snakes' from Ireland. On this day each year I choose to celebrate my Irish heritage, my love of history, folk tradition and lore, the coming of Spring and the existence of Guinness.

An Old Irish Blessing
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

May the luck of the Irish be yours today!

  1. I've never treated this as any sort of a holiday or really looked further at the real story behind it. I like green, clovers, friends, and folklore so it's simply a fun day for me. Lovely blessing.
