Last Day in Jersey

Just a quick update to let everyone know I'm still alive. Life is a mass of chaos, excitement and twinges of sadness as we spend our last days here in our home. Leaving home has made me do some strange things. I bought a package of polaroid film that was $30 for 10 photos to snap pictures at our going away party and the places I've loved most.

I woke up yesterday at 4am and drove to Asbury Park to meet the sun as it rose over the Jersey Shore. It was calming, it was breathtaking and I am so happy that I did it.

Aside from acting on erratic whims, we've been packing, moving boxes, packing, moving still more boxes, saying our 'see you laters', moving even more boxes, visiting doctors for refills and records and trying to squeeze some sleep in as well.

Today is the final push to get everything in the truck. We will wake at 4am tomorrow and begin our long journey to our new home. Goddess willing, we'll miss most of the nasty weather we're supposed to have. I'll be back with photos and an update soon.

Take care, lovelies.
