A Fairy's Eye View

I wondered what a wee one would see as they wandered about the weed patch yard. So I crept about with my macro lens and attempted to view things through the eyes of a fairy.

I took a ton of shots, all on auto focus because I couldn't quite scrunch myself up small enough to use the viewfinder to see and focus. All of these photos were a delightful surprise for me.

What a magical place the patches of wood sorrel and clover become, when viewed from a different perspective. Even the garden spider, who was ever so tiny to me, became extremely large when viewed through different eyes.

A lesson today; change your perspective and try to view things from another's point of view. You may be surprised by a renewed sense of wonder and the beauty of the world when you shift your point of view!

  1. I am always amazed When I view your photography. One of my favorite kinds of photos are those taken at a different viewpoint. I wish I had such talent. My favorite is the spider. I love spiders.

  5. This was such a creative way to view your surroundings. I love it. The faerie cam is a super idea. The grands will have to experiment with that and see what surprises they come up with. We love you darling girl.

  7. I do this when I'm in the woods with my kids - I had started to wonder how come the woods seemed smaller - shorter even, these days (apart from the fact many are being shrunk with the growth of agriculture)so I bent down to kiddy height and realised ... oh I've gotten bigger, they looked more jungle or rainforest like from their level ... I do this often in the woods now, I like to feel smaller. Love your photo's.
    Much love x
